Things to Bring
This listing applies to both Vermont Vacation Homes, and is provided to help you plan your visit to the house, but is not meant to be all-inclusive.
The house is fully-equipped for your visit. Wireless internet is available for no extra charge.
There are, of course, things that you will want to bring, including your food, supplies and
personal items. Both houses have patio areas with Adirondack chairs and picnic tables.
The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances: a full sized refrigerator and freezer with water and ice dispenser; a dishwasher, six (five at Littlebranch) burner (propane) cooktop, and an oven with broiler. There is also a countertop microwave, a coffee maker and four slice toaster. In addition, the kitchen has one full setting of large and small plates, bowls, glasses, wine glasses, cups, and
flat ware for twelve people. The kitchen has a full set of top quality cookware including pots and
pans of varying sizes, mixing bowls, salad bowls, serving utensils, cooking utensils, assorted
chef’s knives, BBQ utensils, large serving platter, serving plates and bowls, baking dishes of
varying sizes and shapes, cake pans, bottle openers, cork screws, potholders, dishtowels, etc.
An outdoor propane BBQ is available for your use (please clean the BBQ after each use).
Also included are the following basic dispensable items:
Salt and pepper
Tea and sugar, and sugar alternatives for morning drinks
Garbage bags for the kitchen garbage can - garbage and recycling should be placed in the red garbage shed located between the two properties.
Full size high efficiency top loading washer and front loading dryer (new 2014) in both houses
Laundry Detergent (for 5 to 6 loads), dryer sheets
An iron is provided in each house
Each bathroom has a complimentary supply of soap, and sample sized shampoo and conditioners. This
may not be enough for your entire visit, so you may want to bring your favorite items with you.
Thick white terrycloth towels are sufficiently provided for all visitors. These include bath towels, hand towels, face cloths and bath mats.
Each bathroom has a small size bathroom trash can, toilet paper and kleenex. There is one hair dryer in each house. The Littlebranch house has two brand new full bathrooms installed in Summer of 2016.
Each bedroom is made up for your arrival with sheets, pillows, blankets and comforter. Seasonal comforts are fans, portable heaters, and extra blankets. Hallways and bathrooms have night lights. Extra bedding for futons and sofa beds are located in the Master Bedroom wardrobe and in the Family Room cabinets (Mettawee House). A pack 'n' play portable crib is located in the Master Bedroom closet (both houses).
Pool Room (Mettawee House only)
Some pool toys (swim noodles, inner tubes and beach balls for example) are available in the deck box. CD Sound system for music while swimming is located in the Master Bedroom dressing room. You may want to bring your favorite CDs. Please enjoy!

What to Bring With You
In addition to your food supplies, clothes and personal items, the following list might help you
make sure you don’t forget to bring important items.

Swim diapers for babies (Mettawee house only)

Reading books and materials
Laptop, tablet, mobile phone, with chargers, etc.
Bicycle / helmet
Golf clubs, shoes
Soccer balls, badminton or volleyball sets
Swimming equipment, such as a mask, fins, snorkel and goggles
Condiments, such as ketchup, mustard, etc. Canned goods. Cooler of food and/or for supermarket visits?
Accessories and Special Needs
Baby’s needs, including diapers, formula
Camera and binoculars
Spare car keys
Toothbrush and tooth paste
Parka, winter mittens or gloves, hat
Skis, boots, poles, helmet, and other skiing gear
XCountry skis and equipment
Sled (3 or 4 sleds are available in the Red Shed near the driveways)
Before Leaving Your Home
Let someone know you are going to be away, and how to reach you, and when you plan to return
Do you leave a key to your house with someone when you are away?
Turn off lights, set timers, etc.
Arrange for your mail/newspaper to be held or picked up by someone
Lock your house and garage, windows, doors, etc.
Arrange for pet care, as necessary.
